The Cygnet Institute of Personal Financial Literacy, a nonprofit organization that promotes economic and personal financial literacy, will be presenting a two financial workshops in January. The workshops will be held on Thursday, January 14 and Tuesday, January 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Social Security will be discussed on January 14. You will learn what claiming options are available, how benefits taxed and how to qualify for benefits. Learn why waiting to claim may cost you money…or make you money.
On January 19 you will learn how to manage your 401K. Learn that not all fees are obvious and how hidden fees reduce return investing strategies. Benefits of asset allocation and Index funds vs. Active funds will also be discussed.
