Five Local Charities to Benefit from Printboys’ Five-Year Ribbon Cutting Celebration
Five charities will be the center of attention at the Ribbon Cutting hosted by Lake Orion Chamber of Commerce to mark the occasion of five years in business for Printboys Digital Printing, a local print and signage entity. Festivities will run from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22 at Printboys, 4409 Interpark Dr., Auburn Hills, MI., located on the SE corner of Lapeer Road/M24 & Dutton Road/Brown Rd. This is a free event with participants supporting these beneficiaries by bringing gently used children’s books, clothing, (all sizes), new sheets, as well as non-perishables and monetary donations, all tax deductible. A representative from each non-profit will be present for guests to gain a personal connection with these charities.
Area Charities Include
- Crossroads for Youth
- Kidz 1st Pediatrics
- Clarkston Area Youth Assistance
- Faith in Action of Oakland County
- Rochester Neighborhood House
For every item contributed to these charities, guests will have a chance to win one of several prizes, happily gifted by local businesses. These include certificates and treats from SlowRep Fitness, Crates Coffee, MPKphoto, Yoga Oasis, Wellness Enhancement, The Toffee Store, The Phone Doctor, Wisdom Awakens, Next Level Consultants, Ilze Lucero Photography, Game of Clues, Bound for Bliss, Nerium, Autumn Moon Beauty, The Artist’s Apprentice, and more.
Community-minded restaurants and food venders have agreed to support the event with offerings to help ensure the success of Printboys efforts to make a grand show of it. Included are The Jagged Fork of Rochester Hills, Clubhouse 81 of Auburn Hills, The Union of Clarkston, Lockhart’s BBQ Lake Orion, and Fleur de Lis Chocolates.
Owners Randy, 61, and Pamela Palmer, 57 of Clarkston MI., took a leap of faith five years ago, when, like so many entrepreneurial startups, they invested in order to create a small business. When asked why he chose the sentiment ‘Our success depends on yours.’ for the company’s tagline, Randy Palmer smiled, “Because it’s true. The more successful our customers are the better all of our businesses will fare, so we try to make everything we put out for them a quality order with a timely delivery.”
Statistically, only about half of new businesses attain a 5-year status, so there is good reason to take pause and note this hard-earned bit of success. “We felt that there was no better way to acknowledge our milestone than by giving back locally. Structuring our celebration to form a strong, charity and networking event for the community seems a lovely way to show our gratitude,” said Pamela Palmer.
