Dedicated to helping people avoid common financial errors that result in the loss of tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, Rick Bloom’s financial expertise focuses on insurance, investment, retirement and estate planning.
Bloom says he will concentrate on avoiding financial frauds while filing your tax returns because it is a common time for people to get their social security numbers and ultimately your tax return stolen.
“It is important to realize that even the Federal Government doesn’t have the resources to protect you, so the more you know about the various financial and identity theft scams that are out there, the better chance you will have to protect yourself,” says Bloom.
Earning his BA in Accounting from Queens College, in New York, Bloom has over 26 years of experience working for with financial planning. He has also earned the Certified Financial Planner, Retirement Income Certified Professional, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Chartered Life Underwriter designations.
“Between telemarketers and internet hackers, sometimes it feels like everyone wants to take your money,” says Community Relations Specialist Amanda Harrison Keighley. “Here at the Rochester Hills Public Library, we want to give you some free advice that could prevent you from losing your hard earned cash.”
