Flag Collection and Historic Tours at Concert

Oakland Township Historic District Commission invites Boy Scouts Troop 60 in collecting worn American Flags right before Flag Day on June 14. When the flag is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem, it should be destroyed in a dignified and ceremonious fashion, preferably by burning. The American Flag should never just be thrown away.

Boy Scouts salute the American Flag, which waves from a flagpole.Local Boy Scout Troop 60 will be collecting flags on June 10, 2022, at Cranberry Lake Farm Historic District, 388 W. Predmore Road, during the Oakland Twp Parks and Recreation concert series called Music in the Meadows.
