Forgotten Tales of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula

The Rochester-Avon Historical Society presents “Forgotten Tales of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula” with author Alan Naldrett 

The Rochester-Avon Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Public Library, 500 Olde Town Road. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

Author, historian and humorist, Alan Naldrett, will discuss some of Michigan’s most interesting yarns and characters. Discover the ghostly Nain Rouge, that demon from the Strait, which has been spotted over the centuries. Learn about the Toledo War with its ill-equipped militia and their armament, which included a barrel of whiskey and broom handles.
