Former Troy School District Superintendent Dr. Barbara Fowler endorses Marty Knollenberg for State Senate

Former Troy School District Superintendent Dr. Barbara Fowler announced today that she is endorsing Marty Knollenberg for State Senate.

On July 1st, Dr. Fowler retired as Superintendent of the Troy School District.

Dr. Fowler served the Troy School District for 31 years in various leadership capacities, including Executive Director for Secondary Instruction, Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education, Deputy Superintendent for Instruction and Superintendent.

Under Dr. Fowler’s leadership, the Troy Public School District earned the distinction of being named one of the nation’s elite school districts by the Washington Post and U.S. News and World Report.

“Marty Knollenberg is a product of area public schools. Marty was responsive to educators and parents when he was a county commissioner and state representative. I’m pleased to endorse Marty Knollenberg for State Senate,” Dr. Fowler said.

Knollenberg thanked Dr. Fowler for her support.

“Dr. Barbara Fowler is one of America’s most successful and respected educators. I’m honored to have her support,” Knollenberg said.
