Looking for a different holiday gift-buying experience?
Consider the Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library Holiday Sale.
Set for Friday, December 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, December 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will be held in the lobby of the library at 500 Olde Town in downtown Rochester.
As the time of the year befits, this sale will be a bit more selective than the usual used book and media events the Friends group holds throughout the year. And since this is a special mini-sale, the event will be in the lobby instead of the new upstairs book sale room. That’s perfect for a quick convenient buying experience during the busy holiday season.
“We will have hundreds of gently used, like-new books. There will also be DVDs, CDs, puzzles and games, most of them still in their original shrink-wrap,” event chair Ann Gruenewald said. “These will be suitable for gift-giving at very reasonable prices, just in time for the holidays.”
The Friends sale accepts cash, checks and major credit cards. The Friends is the volunteer, fund-raising arm of the library, and runs events that help fund library needs throughout the year.
