Every Tuesday starting at 10 a.m. is craft day where a different craft will be featured each week in Fountain Park. Hosted in July by Kiddie Klub of Rochester Hills, and in August by the North Oakland YMCA, this is sure to be a big hit with both children and their parents. More information can be found on the Village website events calendar and facebook page. Don’t forget to grab a Kids Club membership card and earn stamps for prizes.

Books, Buddies and Blankets, a story time featuring a variety of hosts and topics will take place on Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Parents and kids will meet by the gazebo in Festival Park to enjoy a free story. Mayor Bryan Barnett will host July 20 and the Mini-Musicians will be hosting on July 27. August 3 will be hosted by the Rochester Hills Public Library and August 10 will feature Therapy Dogs. Bring your dogs to hang out while kids and adults read! August 17 will feature guest readers from Oakland Optometry. A book by a local author as well as a coloring book activity will be  hosted by Meadow Brook Hall on August 24th.

If you’re not able to get out to the library this summer, come to the Village of Rochester Hills where a visit from the Bookmobile from the Rochester Hills Public Library will take place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. Beginning Wednesday, July 20, the Bookmobile will be in the parking lot of Whole Foods Market from 1:15-2:15 pm. It will continue to make a stop there every 1st and 3rd Wednesday throughout the summer and early fall.
