Kids, tweens and teens are invited to come to the library while on your holiday break. The library has plenty of activities to keep you busy between your family celebrations.
Students in Grades K through 5 are invited to create a Lego masterpiece on Saturday, December 22 at 11:00 a.m. that will be displayed at the library. Just bring your imagination and we will supply the Legos and bases.
PAWS for Reading is held every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Schedule an appointment to read with the Newfoundland dog, Lucy, who loves to listen to you practice reading!
On December 28 at 2:00 p.m. come to the library with your family and enjoy an afternoon movie. Bring a covered drink and blanket and we will provide the snack. For more details all the youth programs, call 248-650-7140.
Too old for teen programs, but still love gaming, comics, friends and snacks? College Night is for you. On January 2 at 7:00 p.m., grown up teens are invited to a College Murder Mystery Night. Teens are invited to join our Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament at Video Game Day on January 5 at 2:30 p.m. Regular drop-in free play for other games will also be available.
Did you receive a digital device this holiday season? Would you like to learn how to get started using your digital books and music? Stop by the Adult Services Reference Desk on Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for one-on-one help setting up and using digital books and music from the library. All you need is a library card and an Internet connection to enjoy them anytime, anywhere. Learning sessions for individual devices will be held throughout the month of January.
For everyone that loves to read, remember to register for our first ever Winter Reading Program for all ages beginning on January 2. Snuggle up with a good book and you may win a prize!
