Understanding the ins and outs of Social Security benefits and how they work in conjunction with your investment portfolio, pension, and other sources of retirement income can be confusing.
Scott Whyte, a Financial Advisor with Bloom Asset Management, will help you wade through the various aspects of Social Security benefits on Tuesday, February 24 at 7 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Public Library. His presentation will include when you should start taking your benefits and how taking benefits can impact other areas of your retirement plan, such as pension payments, withdrawals from a retirement portfolio or even your ability to work part-time in retirement.
Registration is required and open to those with a Rochester Hills Public library card. To register go to the Events Calendar at www.rhpl.org or call 248-656-2900.
The Rochester Hills Public Library is located in downtown Rochester, two blocks east of Main Street off of University Drive on Olde Towne Road. For more information, call 248-650-7124.
