The Rochester Community Concert Band (RCCB) will present its “Sounds of the Holiday” Concert on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rochester High School Auditorium located at 180 S. Livernois Road in Rochester Hills, MI.
The concert will feature music of the Holiday season by Bach, Anderson, Vaughn Williams, Holst and others, including an arrangement of popular Hanukkah songs titled “Dreidle Dance” by Robert Thurston and a setting of the classic ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” narrated by Dr. Joe Bentley, Rochester College Professor of Music and Director of the RC A Capella Chorus.
Santa himself will make a special guest appearance performing “A Trombone Christmas” with the RCCB trombone section.
The 78-member Rochester Community Concert Band conducted by Paul F. DeRubeis, includes adult community members from greater Rochester and Rochester Hills area, and college students from Macomb Community College.

The RCCB was established in 2016 and is comprised of 70-plus volunteer musicians representing a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. New members are welcome.
