The Friends of the Paint Creek Trail will be hosting its 2nd Annual Wine Tasting Evening to support Paint Creek Trail improvements. This years’ event will be at the Fieldstone Winery at 223 S. Main in Rochester on Thursday, October 24th from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and are available online at www.paintcreektrailfriends.org or over the phone at 248-651-9260.
Tickets include eight wine pours, hors d’oeuvres and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the door. Last year’s event raised over $1,600, and tickets sold-out quickly.
The Friends of the Paint Creek Trail mission is to promote the use, maintenance, and improvement of the 8.9 mile trail. Past improvements included a new bike repair station, trash receptacles, and the funding of recycle bins. Currently, the group is raising funds for parking lot enhancements, a drinking fountain at Tienken Road, and more bike repair stations.
