GFL to Continue Yard Waste Pick Up in Rochester and Rochester Hills

Yard Waste Pick-up Schedule for Week of April 13 Altered Slightly

The Cities of Rochester and Rochester Hills has clarified the status of its yard waste pick-up schedule with Green For Life (GFL), the Cities’ waste disposal and recycling contractor. While there were some reports that GFL would temporarily suspend yard waste pick-up beginning Monday, April 13 due to the coronavirus outbreak, GFL has clarified that yard waste pick-up will continue in both cities and in other Michigan communities.

The schedule for yard waste pick-up for the week of April 13 will be slightly different. Yard waste originally scheduled to be picked up on Monday, April 13, will be picked up later in the week, between April 14-17. Any pick-ups normally scheduled Tuesday through Friday, April 14-17, will occur as scheduled.

Residents can direct questions about trash, recycling or yard waste pick-up to GFL’s dedicated customer service number for Rochester Hills at 248-204-6750 and for Rochester and other communities at 844-464-3587.

  1. GFL: you pay for a service yet your driver decides to skip my home and next do it neighbor. If you call to complain, the GFL is a call on service, City goes to voice mail. Dissatisfied with both avenues.
