Giant Paint by Numbers Mural Needs Your Help

Rochester College, Lake Norcentra Park, and Chief Financial Credit Union are excited to announce the painting launch of the Lake Norcentra Park Community Mural. Over the next two months volunteers will help paint and create a 1,800 square foot mural for spring installation on the Clinton River Trail.

Lake Norcentra Park Mural Project

You are invited to join us this Thursday evening, December 15, from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Department of Public Services for a community forum. The forum will feature Jon Laidacker, an artist with Mural Arts in Pennsylvania, as he discusses the process of painting and installing a community mural. After the presentation, guests will tour the painting facility. The DPS facility is located at 511 Auburn Road (between Rochester Road and John R).

Dozens of volunteers will be needed to paint the mural, which will be laid out like a giant paint-by-number. Painting within the lines is the main requirement for the role. Click the link below to attend the kick-off meeting this Thursday and/or volunteer to assist with the painting. Once the project is installed in Lake Norcentra Park, you will be proud you helped make the mural possible.
