Rochester Outreach and Charity for Kids (ROCKit) is looking for young ladies throughout Oakland County and beyond who would like a FREE gown for their prom. Thanks to the generous donations from area residents, ROCKit has collected over 900 gently-used prom, bridesmaid, cocktail and evening gowns and accessories. The second annual ROCK the Prom 2017 – Free Prom Dress Giveaway will be held March 25 and 26 at the Auburn Hills Community Center. All high school girls in surrounding areas are invited to review the selection and choose the dress of their dreams for FREE.
Why spend hundreds of dollars on a dress for one night when you could find a wonderful gown, for FREE, from the vast selection ROCKit has collected. Perhaps money is tight and prom wasn’t going to be an option. Now it can be with a dress from the ROCK the Prom 2017– Free Dress Giveaway. Maybe you would like to be “green” and recycling a gown for your special evening. You can be sure that no one is going to have the same dress as you at this year’s prom.
The dresses collected this year are gently-used or new, long or short and range in size from 0 – 16 and beyond. Styles span a range for all tastes and preferences. The shopping salon will include a variety of free accessories such as purses, shawls, jewelry and shoes to enhance the dresses selected by the young ladies. All dresses have been professionally cleaned by ROCK the Prom’s premier partner, Lapel’s Dry Cleaning (corner of Rochester Rd. & Auburn Rd., Rochester Hills).
