Rochester’s Good Deeds Day
Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children in our area, and across America, who might go hungry otherwise. Students who participate in the Blessings in a Backpack program show a marked improvement in school attendance, test scores, behavior and overall health. Proceeds benefit students of Rochester Community Schools.
Items needed include juice boxes, tuna packets, mac & cheese, granola bars, ravioli, fruit snacks and single-serving packs of oatmeal, cereal, applesauce, Jell-O, pudding, cheese & crackers, PB & crackers, plus toothbrushes & toothpaste.
