Oakland County Care 4 Flint Employee Donation Drive Continues to Collect Donations for Good Friday Delivery
Oakland County Commissioner Marcia Gershenson and Commissioner Bob Hoffman will be delivering items to Flint on Friday, March 25, 2016, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The goal is to collect the following items of antibacterial wipes, antibacterial soap, 3-in-1 leave-in shampoo, hand sanitizers, Vaseline and waterless baby food and formula.

The drive began Monday, March 21 and will continue until Thursday, March 24. The public is also welcome to donate items, which will be accepted until 5 p.m. at the Oakland County Health Center, in the 34 East Building, located at 1200 North Telegraph Road on the first floor. “This is a bi-partisan effort that the Board’s Republican Caucus Chairperson, Oakland County Commissioner Shelley Goodman Taub has supported by involving the Road Commission in the initiative,” stated Commissioner Marcia Gershenson, who spearheaded the donation drive and serves as the Oakland County Board’s Democratic Caucus Vice Chairperson.
Oakland County Commissioner Bob Hoffman, stated, “The goal of the “Oakland County Cares 4 Flint Employee Donation Drive” is to collect 4,000 items for Flint residents. He serves as the Oakland County Board of Commissioners’ Human Resources Committee’s Chairperson.
The “Oakland County Cares for Flint Employee Donation Drive” is sponsored by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and is supported by the Oakland County Health Division, the Oakland County Clerk and Register of Deeds and the Road Commission for Oakland County.
