Happy 1st Anniversary to The Community Edge by Rochester Media

It’s hard to believe that it has already been one year since we first sat down to create The Community Edge! Our initial thought was to create a simple e-mail that would reach members of our community of all different ages, backgrounds, and walks in life in order to share local news and events. Upon completing our first year, we have been astounded with where this simple idea has taken us, and we want to thank you for taking part in the journey! We have received feedback that there have been over 30,000 visits our site! Our very own Dear Crabby has been published in the Monday edition of The Oakland Press, which reaches over 70,000 households weekly. A major search engine and a local newspaper have partnered with us to use our coverage of the Rochester area for their viewers. Our posts have reached the State and National levels on a few occasions. We were there to cover our own Ruth Johnson’s rise to the office of Secretary of State. We have been published by the USAToday.com, NPR.org, Real Detroit Weekly and numerous other news sites across the US. We have had the great opportunity to speak at Oakland University.  But most of all, we have covered the news in and around the Rochester area! We have enjoyed discussions with most of the leaders in our local communities. We have had the opportunity to interview and chat with many business owners in the area, and we have had much interaction with the residents that make this community so great! Thank you for your support and for your interaction, we hope to continue to meet and exceed your expectations in the months and years ahead.

Sincerely, Ann and Tom Gendich
