Multipurpose Room
Residents of Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township, ages 3-18, are invited to choose a free paperback. Children must be at least 3 by the day of the distribution and present to make the selection. Doors will close at 12:30 p.m. – NO EXCEPTIONS. Parents, please talk with your child about making a good choice, keeping in mind that interest level does not always match reading level, as no exchanges may be made after exiting the Multipurpose Room.
Turn Off the TV Week BINGO
Sunday, April 15 – Saturday, April 21
No Registration Required
On or after April 15 pick-up or download your Turn Off the TV Week BINGO card and start playing! You’ll be challenged to turn off your screens at least three nights during the week and then spend some time reading, playing, listening and creating. Return your completed BINGO card to the youth desk by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 for your reward. You’ll find the BINGO card online beginning Sunday, April 15 at www.rhpl.org/youth.

Story Room
Students in grades 1-3 are invited to join us for activities based on favorite character pairs! See the events calendar for details. Online registration begins one week prior to the event dates.
STORYTIME
Storytimes are available for children birth through age five who reside in Rochester, Rochester Hills, or Oakland Township. Due to the popularity of the program, children may register for one storytime per session. Please go to http://calendar.rhpl.org to register or come into Youth Services for assistance. Your child’s library card is required for online registration. Online registration for Spring Storytime will begin on Monday, April 9.
A Pocketful of Stories

Register children and adults.
Meet in the story room for stories and activities all about pockets. Then make and decorate a pocket in which to put your treasures. Online registration begins April 14.
Residents of Rochester, Rochester Hills, and Oakland Township, don’t miss these exciting events at Rochester Hills Public Library. The Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library fund all youth programs. Registration is online. Each child who registers for library programs must have his or her own library card and be a resident of Rochester, Rochester Hills, or Oakland Township.
