“Hello, Dolly!” looking swell at Meadow Brook Theatre

Don’t miss this show playing August 1, 2 and 3

Peanut Gallery Players, a 501(c)(3) non-profit children’s theatre training program for ages 6-18 will bring their talents and nutty elegance to Meadow Brook Theatre for a limited run of Hello, Dolly! on August 1, 2 and 3, 2019. Based on Thornton Wilder’s play The Matchmaker, with book by Michael Stewart and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, Hello, Dolly! is the story of a turn-of-the-century widowed matchmaker who after negotiating marriages for others through a series of comic entanglements, ultimately finds her own match. Full of memorable songs including “Put on Your Sunday Clothes,” “Before the Parade Passes By” and of course the iconic showstopper Hello, Dolly! The original 1964 Broadway production was hailed as one of the “biggest, brightest musicals of the century.” As presented by over 60 students from Oakland and Macomb Counties with their show-stopping dance numbers and beautiful costumes, this event promises to be nothing less. A grand musical the whole family will enjoy.
