Historic Buildings of Rochester Quilt Exhibit

Historic buildings on Rochester’s Main Street are reproduced in quilt form in this wonderfully detailed exhibit. Art Quilt Guild Oakland, which has met monthly since 2012, develops periodic challenges for its members. One of those challenges was to make buildings that represent the history of downtown Rochester, Michigan, where most of them live. These quilter-artists used many techniques including photo transfer, embroidery, painting and more. Take a walk down Main Street during the holiday season.
