Holiday Events coming to the Rochester Hills Museum

The holidays are here! If you are looking for some fun, family-friendly activities, look no further than the Rochester Hills Museum!  On Saturday, December 1 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting the farm to meet with good boys and girls and accept their Christmas wish lists. Tickets for Santa’s Visit are $4 for Rochester Hills Museum Members and $7 for non-museum members. Timed tickets can be purchased online with PayPal at www.rochesterhills.org or in person on Fridays and Saturdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The Museum will also be holding our annual Old Fashioned Christmas on Saturday, December 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Music, theatre, crafts, and goodies are just a few of the things that people can enjoy.  Wagon rides will provide transportation between our historical buildings where all of these fun activities will be taking place. Old Fashioned Christmas tickets in advance are $4 for Rochester Hills Museum Members, $7 for non- museum members, and $10 at the door on December 15th. Tickets can be purchased online with PayPal at www.rochesterhills.org or in person on Fridays and Saturdays from 1-4 pm.

In addition, the Museum will have the following exhibits on display: Toys from Our Past, History of the Rochester Christmas Parade, and Gingerbread Houses decorated by our local elementary schools.  Museum visitors will vote for their favorite gingerbread house during our open hours and special events. The school whose gingerbread house gets the most votes will win a Slip and Slide Day at the Museum!
The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is located at 1005 Van Hoosen Road, one mile east of Rochester Road and south of Tienken Road.  For more information or to register for any of these programs, contact the Museum at 248.656.4663 or visit the Museum’s website at www.rochesterhills.org.
