Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club Holiday Exhibit
Get on Board
The adaptively reused Calf Barn at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm has been transformed this holiday season by the Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club. The entire Calf Barn has been filled with HO gauge trains that travel high and low past countryside and cities, over bridges and through tunnels with each miniature module telling a different story with great care and attention to detail. A camera mounted on the engine also shows the “engine’s eye view” of the trip.
Members of the Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club will operate these fabulous trains and share their love of one of the greatest hobbies in the world from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the following dates:
- December 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,27,28,29
- December 11 – Family Day Special: $8 for the entire family
Headline Rochester
The Museum’s collection of Rochester newspapers is one of the most valuable resources that they have because of its wealth of information about our local history. Museum staff have been hard at work mining through this treasure trove. Guests will also be able to create their own headlines and hang it in our exhibit. This exhibit will run through December 29.
