Hollywood Mini Market Now Open
Hollywood Markets have seven locations in the area and their first store opened 50 years ago. Most of Rochester Media’s readers should be familiar with the Rochester Hills location on the corner of Rochester and Tienken Roads and residents are sure used to seeing and shopping at that Rochester Hills grocery store.
The first Hollywood Mini Market is now open in Rochester, just down the street from the Rochester Hills store. Located on the corner of Main Street and Romeo Street where the former 7-Eleven was (across from the Dairy Queen).
Rochester Families Unite
Erich and Angela Becker are the owners of the Mini Market. They purchased the location eight years ago when it was a Sunoco Station. Three years later, they turned it into a 7-Eleven. Once again, the location transforms into something new and fresh.
The Becker’s wanted to offer customers more. A relationship developed with Hollywood Markets to create the first Hollywood Mini Market Gas Station. The location is already popular for quick stops on a busy corner in Rochester. Lunch, drinks, lottery, snacks and of course gasoline serve regular customers. “Excited” and “really happy” describe the reaction from most of the customers about the change said Angela Becker.

Thom Welch, the owner of Hollywood Markets, is pleased to have two “Rochester families join forces,” said Welch, keeping things local. Welch moved to Rochester in 1984. Angela Becker graduated from Rochester High School. She, Erich and their four children live in Oakland Township.
Rewarding the Customers
Besides many of the popular Hollywood Market products, such as the roasted chickens and ribs, which will soon be offered at the new Mini Market, the two locations will reward customers with discounted fuel. Shoppers that spend $100 at Hollywood Market will receive a voucher to get .20 cents off per gallon, up to 25 gallons, for a future fill-up at the Mini Market.
Can’t spend $100 at one time? Angela suggests customers buy a $100 gift card for Hollywood, receive the voucher and use the card for multiple purchases.

Siberian Chill drinks will be replacing the outgoing 7-Eleven Slurpee’s so customers will still be able to purchase a similar frozen beverage in a variety of flavors.
Erich and Angela work the store with five employees and are open from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. seven days a week (they had been open 24 hours a day per franchise agreements with 7-Eleven). While some of the new things are still being added, look for an official grand opening when the weather breaks.
I have said for the last six years that I have lived downtown how nice it would be to have a market in town. Many gas stations carried milk and eggs but the prices were always higher and they were not guaranteed fresh. This is a nice addition to Rochester.
Rochester Media agrees with you Dave. We truly want Erich and Angela to have lots of success with the Hollywood connection!
