RHPL welcomes hometown author L.A. Chandler on January 23

The Rochester Hills Public Library is pleased to welcome author Laurie (L.A.) Chandlar, who will discuss her “Art Deco Mystery Series” novels on Thursday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the library’s Multipurpose Room. Chandlar is a 2019 Agatha Award-nominee and national best-selling author of historical fiction novels that take place in 1930s New York, Detroit, and London. Her debut novel, The Silver Gun – book one in the Art Deco Mystery Series, was published in 2017. Other books include The Gold Pawn and The Pearl Dagger.

A native of Rochester, Michigan, Chandlar studied English Literature and Public Relations at the University of Michigan, worked for General Motors, and at the age of 24, moved on to a creative venture with a nonprofit company and traveled with her husband’s national touring band as a manager and PR agent. Today, she and her husband live in New York City. This program requires registration.
