“With the help of our generous sponsors and supporters, we were able to raise more than $150,000 to grow and expand our work,” said Maggie Dunn, co-founder and chief administrator at House of Providence.

Sponsors for the event included Termax Corporation, Superior Metal Finishing, Coastal Automotive, It Works! Independent Distributor and LaBelle Electrical Contractors.

“We envision a therapeutic home for those children most in need – girls, boys and disabled foster youth. These funds will help bring us closer to our goal,” added Dunn.

During the Wishes Gala event, House of Providence Co-Founder Jay Dunn revealed plans for a 118-acre therapeutic campus for both boys and girls, also expanding their services to include disabled foster youth. The campus will provide holistic services, including animal assisted therapy, job training and life skills, within a family-centered environment. House of Providence will need to raise $3 million for this campus, and fundraising is currently underway.

House of Providence is a therapeutic home for minors who are wards of the State of Michigan and who find themselves languishing with no prospect of adoption. House of Providence provides vital ministry to children in need of intervention and support services. As a result of the direct care and individual attention given, these youths grow into whole, independent, and successful adults. Most importantly, they will become part of a family that provides a permanent support system, perhaps for the first time ever. For more information, visit www.thehouseofprovidence.org.
