Huntington Ford and Rochester Hills Stoney Creek High School Partner to Raise School Funds

Test-drive fundraising event generated much needed money for Stoney Creek High School, helping students in the local community.

Huntington Ford, Stoney Creek High School, and members of the local community raised $3,340 for the local school at a recent test-drive and fundraising event. As part of Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program, more than 165 area residents took a test drive in a new Ford vehicle during the school’s successful on-site event. For each test drive, Huntington Ford and Ford Motor Company donated $20 to the school.

Since the program’s inception in 2007, the Drive One 4 UR School program has generated over $16 million in donations for high schools nationwide. The press release went on to state that the money raised during the program has helped ensure that extracurricular activities like sports, music and volunteer programs continue in local communities despite budgetary constraints and funding cuts.

“Everyone at Stoney Creek got behind this event to assure our success,” said Patrick Scoggin, President of Huntington Ford. “Their support and enthusiasm resulted in a great donation to the school. I am thrilled that we can take part in a community event like this and help our local high school.”
