Remembering Alex Smith

It is with a heavy heart that I share that Mr. Alex Smith, beloved husband of Audrey Smith (Principal Secretary at Hugger Elementary School), and father to Alexis and Aidan Smith, passed away suddenly this morning. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.

Crisis team members will be available to support children, staff and community members on Thursday.

Alex Smith

Smith, W. Alex age 51 of Rochester Hills, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly January 23, 2019. Loving husband of Audrey Smith. Beloved and dedicated father of Alexis Ann Smith and Aden Robert Smith. Brother of Robert J. (Kimberly) Smith and Andrew R. (Sepideh) Smith. Uncle of two nephews and two nieces. Preceded in death by father Erwin L. Smith and mother Jannett B. Smith (Lowe).

Alex was born on October 27, 1967 and raised in Lafayette, Indiana. He graduated from Purdue University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Alex was a member and Past Master of West Lafayette Masonic Lodge #724. Alex will forever be remembered for his work ethic, contagious laugh, and the undying love he had for his family.
