Oakland Township Celebrates National Preservation Month
The presentation, If these Walls could Talk, will discuss:
- Which American architectural style did the wood lathe, the paint can and the steam locomotive motivate?
- How did a religious revival inspire one of the most recognized architectural styles in America?
- How did a French tax result in one of Americas, rare, but much admired architectural styles?
May 15 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Paint Creek Cider Mill 4480 Orion Road. The National Trust for Historic Preservation is ramping up their This Place Matters campaign to promote preservation and spread awareness of historic resources that matter to every community. Oakland Township is celebrating Preservation Month by having preservation architect Ron Campbell from Oakland County Planning and Economic development share some of our unique history in the presentation If these Walls Could Talk. Refreshments will be provided by the Oakland Township Historical Society.
