Here is a look at some of the most recent crime files from the Rochester Police Department.

Reckless driving leads to MIP and marijuana bust

On Saturday, July 27, Rochester Police responded to a report of two vehicles driving recklessly near Tulberry Circle. According to a report, officers found one of the two cars and questioned the driver and passengers about the skid marks on the pavement near the car. It was later found that alcohol and marijuana was in the car and one of the passengers, an 18-year-old Lansing resident, was given a minor in possession (MIP) for alcohol and a violation for possession of marijuana. The other car left the area before police arrived.

Blue graffiti on local building

On Thursday, July 25, a building owner on Second Street reported fresh graffiti overnight between Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21. The graffiti is blue and there are no suspects at this time.

Debit card fraud

Also on July 25, Rochester Police investigated a report of debit card fraud. A Rochester resident told police that she noticed transactions on her debit card that she had not made and could not find her debit card. Five transactions totaling $450 were made and the woman was notified via text message. Detectives are working with the woman to investigate possible suspects. Police are also checking local surveillance at spots where the card has been used, for any leads. There is no further information at this time.

20-year-old gets OWI, underage drinking citation and drug paraphernalia ticket

On Wednesday, July 24, Rochester Police stopped a 20-year-old Sterling Heights woman after she drove in reverse down the road, near Dequindre Road and Parkdale Ave. The woman was also speeding and weaving in and out of the lane shortly after, according to reports. The woman completed field sobriety tests and a breath test that lead to her arrest for operating while intoxicated (OWI). Officers later found open alcohol and drug paraphernalia in the woman’s car. She was held at the station until sober and was given an OWI along with an underage drinking citation and a possession of narcotic equipment ticket.

  1. Hello. There was a drug arrest in Rochester Hills and the man (Devin (Devon) Brown was arrested and booked 7/31/13.
    Why wasn’t this reported? Is there any way to find out more information about what happened?
