Water Infrastructure 101- “What You Need to Know Below and Beyond”

Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner (WRC) Jim Nash resumes year-long series of Water Infrastructure 101-“What You Need to Know Below and Beyond” discussions. During the months of September, October and November, Commissioner Nash will engage the public on array of issues relating to water infrastructure.

Library Discussion Series will Highlight the Fourth Annual Imagine a Day Without Water National Day

The new discussions are scheduled as follows:

  • Wednesday, October 10, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Oxford Public Library, which is located at 530 Pontiac Street in Oxford, Michigan 48371. For more information, call 248-628-3034. “A Day Without Water” to be highlighted as part of the ongoing infrastructure talks.
  • Thursday, October 25, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Rochester Hills Public Library, which is located at 500 Olde Town Road in Rochester Hills, Michigan. For more information, call 248-656-2900.
  • Thursday, November 15, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Bloomfield Township Public Library, which is located at 1099 Lone Pine Road in Bloomfield Township, Michigan. For more information, call 248-642-5800.

The public will learn about water issues ranging from aging infrastructure, water quality, storm water to protecting inland lakes. Home infrastructure tips, Oakland County Water Commissioner infrastructure projects, employment opportunities and the Water Residential Assistance Program (WRAP) are some of the topics that Commissioner Nash will also cover. Question and answer opportunities for the public and feedback are part of these free discussions.
