Enjoy a casual and uncomplicated introduction into the world of wine suited for both the novice as well as the slightly experienced on Tuesday, October 8, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Public Library. Nidal Daher will discuss wine grape varieties, wine making techniques and types of wines. You will also learn how to identify and read wine labels and order from a restaurant wine list. The class will end with a discussion on proper wine storage.
Nidal Daher, Certified Sommelier, has been working in the wine industry, covering restaurants, hotels, retail, and consulting for wholesale distributors for over 15 years. In various years he has served as the wine director, event sommelier, and catalogue scriber for the Detroit International Wine Auction. He is co-author of the book “Romance Begins in The Kitchen” and former fine wine director and buyer for the Merchant of Vino.
