As a 29-year resident of Rochester Hills, Jim Kubicina is committed to seeing the community he loves continue to grow and thrive. Kubicina hopes to continue his work with Rochester Hills as the City Council Member representing District 2, by seeking re-election this November.
Kubicina started his community service in 1988 as a coach for his children’s various sports teams. Over the years, Kubicina has coached more than 30 teams covering all sports for both boys and girls. Kubicina then branched out to work with the Rochester Area Recreation Authority (RARA).
“I was working with RARA when I started thinking about how much more I could give back and work with our community through City Council,” said Jim. “I truly love this community and see the hard work that each individual puts in to making it succeed. Our city government is a big part of that and I was privileged elected to serve on the council following Adam Kochenderfer in 2015.”
During his time on City Council, Kubicina has had the privilege to expand his work with Rochester Hills nonprofit organizations as well as assisting residents with their needs and concerns.
“Councilman Kubicina loves this city and it is evident in this way he represents his District,” said Rochester Hills Mayor, Bryan Barnett. “He listens thoughtfully and then advocates creatively for the best interest of the residents he represents. He is a great councilman and I am thrilled that he is seeking re-election and proud to give him my full support.”
Kubicina has served on numerous committees and boards in the Rochester Hills area including:
Older Persons Commission
