Join the Brooksie Way Fall Couch to 5k Training Program

Have you seen those orange shirts running all over Rochester and Rochester Hills on Thursday nights?  Would you like to train for the 5k race at The HealthPlus Brooksie Way on September 27, 2015?

Beginning Tuesday August 11, this seven-week program will use a run/walk/run interval training method with the goal of getting you across the finish line.  Interval training is used for the entire process; we won’t push you to run without walking, even during the race.  There is a walking program which also incorporates intervals.

You will meet once a week on Tuesdays in Rochester at 6:30 p.m., for a group workout, then run or walk two other times a week on your own. The first meeting is 6:30 p.m. at the Auburn Hills Community Center.

After your training, you will participate in the HealthPlus Brooksie Way 5k Race on September 27, 2015. The registration fee is $50.00 and includes the cost of your race, a training shirt, training calendar, group workouts led by trained leader is included in your registration fee. Register here.
