Our backyard birds are closer than we think.

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm will be presenting Great Backyard Bird Count at the Museum on Saturday, February 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Museum.

Admissions for this program is $3 for Rochester Hills Museum members and $5 non-members. Parents and chaperones of children attending are free. The Museum will be participating in the 17th annual Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC). The GBBC is a national bird count that is led by the Cornell Lab of Orthnithology, National Audubon Society, and Bird Studies Canada. This program will introduce guests to the GBBC and how they can participate in this fun citizen science project. Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring their own binoculars for the outdoor portion of the program. Children ages 7 and up are welcome.

The Rochester Hills Museum is located at 1005 Van Hoosen Road, off Tienken Road between Rochester and Dequindre Roads.

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features the stories, people, and events that has made our community an exceptional place to call home for 190 years. Stop by for a visit! We can host weddings, anniversaries, graduation parties, and more! How can we best serve you?
