For the fifth year in a row, friends and family will come together to honor Keith Cruzer, and his fight against cancer. Classic Lanes, at 2145 Avon Industrial Drive in Rochester Hills will host the annual fundraiser on March 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for those, who like Keith, have been touched by cancer. Keith’s sister, Tracy, plans to fill all 32 lanes with bowlers (six to a lane) who understand how important it is to fight this terrible disease. Non-bowlers are very welcome to come and support the event through raffles and mingle, as well as enjoy pizza.

Keith’s Cruzers Annual Fundraiser
Keith lost his battle with cancer in 2011 but those around him have not forgotten him. In 2014, Keith’s Cruzers were formed to help raise awareness and funds to fight the battle. During his lifetime, Keith fought Hodgkin’s disease, worked as a cancer researcher, and donated removed tumors for research. He told his family that “This will not help me but it will help someone someday.”
As part of this battle, every March, Tracy rallies the troops to help her raise funds so that other families won’t suffer the pain of losing a loved one because they are out of options. Everyone involved with Keith’s Cruzers has been touched in some way by cancer. Tracy’s family has endured cancers of the brain, breast, ovarian, skin and lungs. The supporters of Keith’s Cruzers are fighters, survivors, caregivers, and warriors for the cause.
Suzanne Galley, one of those fighters, shared her thoughts: “Relay for Life teams are everywhere and they are all doing something great, but Keith’s Cruzers is something different. Keith’s Cruzers was created by one of my very best friends and her family to help find a cure in a really fun way. This bowling fundraiser is the only time that I look forward to entering a bowling alley, being the terrible bowler that I am, but this is not about bowling. This is about helping to make a difference. Over the past several years I have attended this event and it has grown and become something special that I am proud to be able to support and that I genuinely look forward to. From the raffles to the baked goods and bowling itself, this event helps to make a difference for cancer research and in the lives of everyone involved. I never felt the need to be involved in fundraising events, but this one is something special that everyone should have the opportunity to be part of.”
