Walton Boulevard Closes Lane Now, then Westbound Lane Weekend Closure to Come
Walton Boulevard Lane Closure
The westbound outer lane of Walton Blvd. just east of Squirrel Road in Auburn Hills closed today for sanitary sewer installation. The lane will now reopen during the evening of Friday, August 12. Site Development Inc. is installing sanitary sewer for a private development. One lane remains open to traffic; however, motorists can expect delays.
Walton Boulevard Weekend Closure
The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will close westbound Walton Blvd. between Squirrel and Adams roads in Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills for culvert repair work beginning Friday, August 19, following morning rush-hour traffic.
The detour for the closure is Adams Road to Tienken Road to Squirrel Road, back to Walton Blvd. and vice versa.
RCOC Highway Maintenance Department staff will be repairing the culvert. The project is expected to conclude the evening Sunday, August 21. Westbound Walton Blvd carries approximately 20,000 vehicles daily.
