Rainbow Connection is pleased to announce that Larry Alexander has recently joined the Board of Directors for the Michigan wish granting organization.
Larry Alexander Joins Rainbow Connection Board of Directors
Alexander is President and CEO of the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau (DMCVB) and a 30-year veteran of the hospitality and tourism industry. He helped lead efforts that resulted in Detroit landing some of the world’s most coveted sporting events, including the Super Bowl, MLB All-Star game, and NCAA Final Four.
A native of Houston, Alexander joined the DMCVB as its top executive in 1998.
In addition to Rainbow Connection, Alexander is a board member of the Parade Company, Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, and New Detroit, Inc. among others.

I’m extremely pleased to find this information on Mr. Alexander. I met Mr. Alexander over forty years ago when I was a college student living with a relative of his in Austin, Texas. It was evident he was destined for greatness. I think he was working at a Westin property back then.
