Terrific Tuesday- Proud to be an American

Tuesday November 14, 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Dr. John Todd will present on the history of the Department of Veterans Affairs and his role in designing a bill providing benefits to women and children of veterans. A light supper will be served at 4:30 p.m. and Rusty Musicians will provide entertainment. Presentation is open to the public. Call 248-608-0251 for tickets. Huge $6 Sale

November 16-17 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and November 18 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. the Older Person’s Commission (OPC) is hosting its annual $6 Sale. This is a great opportunity to start holiday shopping early. The items for sale include jewelry, scarves, cuff links, and much more. All proceeds benefit the Enrichment and Arts Department at OPC.

Mark Tisdel Concert

Friday, November 17, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. hear the musical stylings of Mark Tisdel. Often compared to Josh Groban, Mr. Tisdel has a wide repertoire. He will be performing with Phyllis Bengry. Tickets for the concert are $10 and it is open to the public. Call 248-608-0251 to reserve seats.

Savvy Seniors- Funeral Customs and Rituals: Ways to Say Goodbye

Tuesday, November 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., learn about the funeral customs and rituals of several different world religions and how they impact different cultural thoughts on death and grief. Christmas and Cocktails

Thursday, December 7, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., sip and shop at the OPC. Several local boutiques and shops will be selling gifts while patrons sip holiday drinks and listen to Holiday music. This opportunity to celebrate the season is open to the public. Admission is $5 and supports programs at OPC.
