Latest Tienken Road Project Delayed until Wednesday, June 17

According to the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), the road construction project that was supposed to close Tienken Road between Adams and Brewster in Rochester Hills on Monday, June 15, has now been pushed back to approximately Wednesday, June 17. Weather is being cited as the reason for the delay.

Also mentioned int he news release is that the project will be divided into two segments. Once Adams to Brewster is complete, the other section from Brewster to Livernois will close, date to be announced.

Residents and businesses within the closure zone will have access throughout the closure. The entire road is anticipated to re-open to traffic sometime in August.

The detour for the closure will be Rochester Road to University Drive/Walton Boulevard to Adams Road and vice versa. The Tienken and Adams Road intersection will not be closed during the construction; however, it will be resurfaced in stages and flaggers will direct traffic during this phase of the project.
