Leadership Class Networking Night with Ice Cream for Neighborhood House

Multi-Chamber Networking Night for a Cause

Join professionals from across Oakland County for two hours of networking on June 21 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This event will be held at Revel Bros. Ice Cream and Wafels in The Village of Rochester Hills, located at 260 Adams Rd. There is no admission fee, but attendees are encouraged to buy ice cream and 25% of sales will benefit Neighborhood House. The graduating class of the Leadership Greater Rochester Program presents this event on the first night of summer.

Revel Bros. Ice Cream & Wafels is a new family-owned and operated homemade ice cream establishment in the Village of Rochester Hills. This is their second location; they also own Cool Jacks Handcrafted Cookies and Ice Cream in Sylvan Lake, MI. “We’re happy to host this event for the Leadership Greater Rochester class,” the Founder of Cool Jacks and Revel Bros, Josh Charlip, said. “We hope many community members will support this event and enjoy our homemade ice cream and waffles.”

All Oakland County professionals are invited to attend this event, regardless of Chamber of Commerce membership. Families can also come to enjoy the ice cream on the first official night of summer. “Our leadership class wanted to present an opportunity to network with multiple chambers of commerce,” said Natalie Reilly-Finch, Neighborhood House’s Fund Development Manager. “We are happy to partner with Revel Bros who have generously agreed to donate a portion of ice cream sales to Neighborhood House, supporting those in need.”

Neighborhood House is a nonprofit serving the Greater Rochester and Auburn Hills areas. They provide rent and utility financial assistance, operate a Food Pantry and Clothes Closet, offer transportation services, provide counseling, facilitate many educational programs for families in need, and more. Last year, Neighborhood House’s programs helped over 3,000 households on their path from financial crisis to self-sustainability. You can follow Neighborhood House on Facebook.

The mission of the Leadership Greater Rochester Program is to build a broad-based network of community leaders who enhance their leadership abilities and skills through continuing education, shared perspectives and community involvement in order to enable them to work toward solutions in the public interest. The leadership program offers area businesses, or those relocating, a chance to become acquainted with the communities and a variety of regional leaders and employees to make connections and continue their involvement in our area’s unique history, needs and activities. You can find the application for the 2017-2018 program on the Rochester Regional Chamber Website.
