The Rochester Hills Public Library announced that Michigan’s busiest bookmobile will be even busier this summer due to several changes in its scheduled stops, beginning July 13, 2011. In response to customer demand, there will be a new biweekly stop in front of Whole Foods Market in the Village of Rochester Hills shopping outdoor shopping area. “We’ve had several customers requesting a stop in this location as a way to alleviate frustrating trips through the construction area along University Drive”, stated Michelle Wisniewski, Manager of Outreach & Bookmobile Services.
Additionally, there will be new bookmobile stops at the City of Rochester Hills complex along Avon Rd., as well as the Paint Creek Cider Mill location in Oakland Township. In these challenging economic times, bookmobile staff are constantly striving to insure successful and convenient stops for their customers.
Everyone is invited to come onboard this summer to experience a library service for the past and going into the future. Bookmobile users can request materials from the Main Library and can return Main Library materials to the bookmobile.
“The bookmobile offers a convenience to residents of Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township,” said Library Director Christine Lind Hage. “Especially during the summer we see families bicycle to their nearest bookmobile stop, making this a free family activity.”
