Local Authors Wanted for Third Annual Rochester Author Fair

The Rochester Hills Public Library (RHPL) and Rochester Writers invites local authors to participate in the third annual Rochester Author Fair on Small Business Saturday, November 27, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The 2021 fair will feature recorded author interviews on the library’s YouTube channel; and there may be an in-person component if COVID-19 protocols allow it.

“Author fairs are a fun and engaging way to get to know the person behind the book,” said Michael Dwyer, founder of Rochester Writers. “Libraries have always been the place for the reading and writing communities to connect. And once again, we’re pleased to collaborate to bring a range of local authors together through the connection of the library.”

“RHPL is excited to once again collaborate with Rochester Writers,” said Juliane Morian, library director. “The group is a perfect fit for the library and its mission to encourage reading, create programs that foster a love of writing, and empower patrons with opportunities to experience and discuss stories from a range of local voices.”

Authors interested in being considered for the 2021 Rochester Author Fair should complete an online application. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2021. Successful applicants will be notified in early Fall.
