He is preceded in death by his siblings; Mary Kolar, Cecilia Cook, Henry Hund, John Hund, Francis Hund, Jacob Hund and Clara Peters. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lemke, Frederick R., age 53 of Lake Orion. December 20, 2013. Loving husband of Dawn Root. Dear father of Lucian and Alexander. Cherished son of Esther and the late Theodore. Brother of Dennis (Fabia), Lloyd (Lori), and Theodore (Julie) Lemke. Son-in-law of Norman and Sharron Root. Brother-in-law of Melisa (James) Riehl. Fred had a strong Christian upbringing on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, he pursued his Ph.D. in chemistry at Purdue University where he met his wife. He completed Post-Doctoral Studies at Brookhaven National Lab, taught chemistry and led a research program at Ohio University. He relocated to Lake Orion, MI, where he continued teaching at Mott Community College. Fred was blessed with a strong faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and now lives in heaven with Jesus as a free gift of God”s grace. He remained very active in his church and helped tutor many young minds in the field of chemistry. He will be greatly missed by many. A Service of Christian Funeral and Celebration of Eternal Life will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013, 11 a.m. Divine Grace Lutheran Church, 3000 S. Lapeer Rd., Lake Orion. The family will receive friends 10 a.m.until time of service at the church. Due to his strong commitment to education, memorials can be made to the Divine Grace Scholarship Fund.
