Local Memorial Day Observances

Sunday, May 25

1:30 p.m.: Shelby  Twp Memorial Day ceremony, at the municipal park (24 Mile Rd and Van Dyke).

Monday, May 26

9 a.m.: Mt. Avon Cemetery (Downtown Rochester, 2nd St and Wilcox), Memorial Day ceremony.

10 a.m.: Rochester-Rochester Hills Memorial Day Parade, starts at the Mt. Avon Cemetery, proceeds down Harding to Livernois, ending at the Veterans Memorial Pointe. Grand Marshall is Toni Deaton. Peggy and Ed Kralik of Operation Yellow Ribbon will also participate.

Thank you to all our veterans. Please remember our fallen comrades as well as those who are dealing with the consequences of their military service.
