Gerald P. Leigh

March 19, 1938 – September 12, 2013

Leigh, Gerald, Age 75 of Grand Blanc, died September 12, 2013. Loving brother of Richard Leigh of Texas and Lola Caples of Florida. Gerald was also survived by his beloved caregiver, Carmen Thornton and family where he lived for the past 25 years; many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Leigh; siblings, Bill, Bob, Margaret, Evelyn, Mary Ellen, and Joanne. Dick Desotell

January 10, 1939 – September 13, 2013

Dick Desotell age 74, a lifelong resident of Rochester Hills passed away on September 13,2013. He was the loving father of Dick(Peggy), Nick(Amy), and Rick(Kim). Dear grandfather of Melissa (Scott) Winther, Jason (Michelle), Holly, Alexis, Sommer, Josh, and Kennedy. Dearest great-grandfather of Kamryn, Kaylin, Jaxon, Bryson, and Elyse. Dick is also survived by his sister Shirley of V.A. Dick enjoyed golfing, fishing, and gardening. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 17, 2013 from 2pm until the time of service at 7pm at Pixley Funeral Home 3530 Auburn Road Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326.

RoseLeon Junior Rose

July 29, 1924 – September 14, 2013

Rose, Leon Junior, Age 89 of Rochester Hills. September 14, 2013 Loving husband of Margaret for 68 years. Dear father of Sandra Volcker, Lucinda (Dan) Tomlinson, Randall Rose, Candace Thomas, and Margaret “Lynn” (John) Gooderham. Brother of Carl (Donna) Rose, Marshall (Margaret) Rose, the late Gloria Church, Beth Wiggins, and Larry Rose. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Leon was a B29 pilot in the Air Force for three years. He worked for GM for 43 years. Funeral service Tuesday, September 17, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. Barkey, Evelyn Lorraine, age 82 of Rochester Hills, September 15, 2013. Loving wife of Dick for 55 years. Beloved mother of Pete Barkey, Jill (Dan) Hill and Lisa (Erik) Przekop. Cherished grandmother of Conor, Clare, Liam, Kaitlin, Ava, and Aidan. Preceded in death by her sister Sally Robbins and her parents Loren and Amy Mathis. Margaretha Olivecrona

May 22, 1935 – September 15, 2013

OLIVECRONA, MARGARETHA; age 78; born May 22, 1935; died peacefully on September 15, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden, the daughter of Gosta and Gota Hultgren. She married Karl Olivecrona in 1961. In 1975 she and her husband and children moved to Houston, Texas, and then in 1980 to Sarasota, Florida, where she remained until the death of her husband. From 2003 and until her death she resided with her daughter, Marianne Hessler, and with her family in Oxford, Michigan. She leaves behind her daughter, Marianne Hessler (John) of Oxford, MI; her son, Goran Olivecrona (Cecilia) of Lund, Sweden; and her late son, Lars Olivecrona (Emmie). Her precious grandchildren, Sofia, John, Axel, Jacob and Emma; and her beloved dogs, Lucy and Patrick. She was an incredible mother and grandmother and will be forever missed. A Private Family Service will be held in Sarasota, Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Children’s Guardian Fund in her name. Children’s Guardian Fund, P.O. McLaughlin, James H., Age 65 Auburn Hills. Brother of Bill (Jean) and Anita (Victor) Marsella, uncle of Tiffanie (James) Hemmingsen, Michelle (Daniel) Dehmel and Christine (Gary) Persinger. A Memorial Service will be held of Friday Septermber 20th at 11:00AM at the Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 W. Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills.
