Mars at Opposition: It Looks Big, Red, and Bad

For anyone looking to learn more about this month’s opportunity to see Mars while it’s so close to the Earth, check out the free virtual program being offered by Oakland Township Parks and Recreation on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. 

This all ages family-friendly program, let by astronomers from Oakland Astronomy Club, will present the Red Planet at its “peak performance for the year under the watchful eye of the Royal Family of Constellations.”

  • Registration ends Sunday, October 11, 2020.
  • A GoToMeeting link will be emailed to registrants within 24 hours of the start of the program.
