‘Mary Poppins’ Comes to Stoney Creek High School

SCHS Mary PoppinsThe students and directors of the Stoney Creek Musical Theater Company are busy putting the finishing touches on their production of the musical Mary Poppins based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney film. With crowd-pleasing music, stunning choreography, immaculate costuming, amazing set, and an incredibly talented cast and crew, this production is sure to take audience members on a magical journey.

Mary Poppins is the story of the Banks family who hires a new nanny for their out-of-control children. When a mysterious young woman named Mary Poppins appears at their doorstep, the family finds that she’s the answer to their prayers, but in the most peculiar way. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises, “Anything can happen if you let it.”

Performances are Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 at 7 p.m., Sunday, April 26 at 2 p.m., and Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the Stoney Creek High School Auditorium.
