Oakland Township is beginning work on updating the Township Master Plan. The township will soon be hosting a Public Focus Group Open House to gather community input from residents/stakeholders on the direction of Oakland Township.
The meeting will build off the results of the 2015 Oakland Township Planning Commission Resident Survey as well as recently updated background studies provided by Planning Consultant Carlisle/Wortman Associates.
Public input is critical so that the township can form a Master Plan that will coordinate with other township goals and plan effectively for the future. Participants will be asked to write down their ideas, a method of public engagement called “Brain Writing”, on a variety of topics in order to create a list of priorities.
