The City of Rochester Hills is pleased to announce that Joe Snyder has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. Mr. Snyder has been acting as the city’s interim Chief Financial Officer since June of this year, and replaces Keith Sawdon who retired after 30 years in public finance.
“This is a dream opportunity for me, as I started working for the City Rochester Hills as an Intern 16 years ago in the Finance Division while I was completing my degree in Finance from Oakland University,” states Snyder. “I am a resident and my wife and I have two children in the Rochester Community Schools, so I am thrilled to have the ability play a vital role in making our community the preeminent place to live, work, and raise a family. I look forward to continuing the financial success of Rochester Hills into the future.”
As CFO, Snyder will be responsible for all city finance operations including the Assessing, Fiscal, Treasury, and Budget departments.
Snyder previously served the city as the Senior Financial Analyst. After working with the city for16 years he has a history of earning the trust, respect, and confidence of the staff, elected officials, and public.
